Mission Statement

  • The Black River Falls Art Department is dedicated to the belief that art and life are inseparable.
  • Art is, perhaps, humanity’s essential and most universal language.
  • Art education is fundamental in fostering a balanced individual and society.
  • It is the vehicle for continuous intellectual and creative development.
  • Art experiences encourage the development and application of all academic curriculum standards.
  • A cohesive art education program encourages divergent and creative solutions to design problems.
  • The ability to think, increased skills in communication, production of quality work, connecting with and using design as a universal developmental skill all give the individual opportunities for reflection on past experiences and a strong knowledge base for future problem solving.
