Newby attends FCCLA event as state officer
Nine high school students and Wisconsin FCCLA Executive Council advisers spent three and a half days learning about leadership, planning events and setting personal, local, and statewide chapter goals for their year in office.
As Vice President of Public Relations, BRF senior Devin Newby will create and implement the Wisconsin FCCLA state program of work, promote the National FCCLA Outreach Project, national programs and community service opportunities within our community and throughout the state.
While attending the All Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) training at Edgewood College in Madison, officers and advisers worked to prepare a program for the state of Wisconsin’s members and advisers.
All the students led organization are focusing on a statewide service project of “The Dangers of Using a Mobile Device While Driving.” Along with selecting and planning a statewide initiative that covers all CTSO student organizations, officers attended a etiquette dinner, and practiced parliamentary procedure.
