FBLA Travels to Minneapolis Conference

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members from Black River Falls High School traveled to Minneapolis, MN to attend the NFLC on November 14-15. The conference was held at the Minneapolis Hilton and included students and advisors from Wisconsin, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska. While at the conference, students attended a number of workshops on topics such as fundraising, finance, networking, goal setting, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Students were also given opportunities to network with other FBLA members from around the country and tour businesses in Minneapolis. Throughout the conference there were a number of exhibits from business organizations and schools that were eager to provide information and advice to students. The Black River Falls High School FBLA consists of 21 members that participate in leadership conferences, competitions and school activities. Meet the 2014 Student Television Network collaborative documentary Mideast Region team, the BRFHS Student Reporting Lab!   It is with deepest appreciation and respect that we celebrate the successful referendum vote. The number of hours that were dedicated to researching and communicating about the issues surrounding the referendum is amazing. A simple thank-you hardly covers the work done on behalf of our students of today and our students yet to come. Although the outcome is important, I also need tell you how inspired I am by the collaborative, respectful and positive communications that have been had throughout our community over these last months. A referendum can be very emotional, but together we connected the corners of our community and showed everyone that we can unite together for a common purpose in spite of our differences.
