Notice of Special Meeting of School District Electors
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to § 120.08(2) of the Wisconsin Statutes, that the School District of Black River Falls Board of Education hereby calls a special meeting of the School District electors.
The purposes of the meeting are to:
I. Authorize the Board of Education, pursuant to § 120.10(5m) of the Wisconsin Statutes, to acquire real estate and any associated facilities, as described herein below and to designate such site as a school site pursuant to § 120.10(5) of the Wisconsin Statutes; to wit:
Lot 3 of Certified Survey Map No. 3332, as recorded on October 15, 2008, in the Jackson County office of the Register of Deeds, in Volume 14 of CSMs, page 38 and following, as Document No. 348372, containing approximately 9.4 acres.
II. Authorize the Board of Education, pursuant to § 120.10(12) of the Wisconsin Statutes, to sell real estate and any associated facilities, as described herein below, which property belongs to but is not needed by the School District:
Real estate of approximately seven (7) acres in area located south of the Black River Falls High School, 1200 Pierce Street, Black River Falls, Wisconsin, commonly referred to as the “South Lawn Area” of the Black River Falls High School.
III. Authorize the Board of Education, pursuant to § 120.10(5) of the Wisconsin Statutes, to lease and re-lease areas located on the real estate described in paragraph II above, and within facilities constructed on such parcel, the specific boundaries of which shall be subject to approval by the Board of Education, for use as a field house and related purposes for a period(s) not to exceed twenty (20) years, with annual rentals fixed by the Lease.
The date of the special meeting of School District electors is Monday, August 5, 2013. The special meeting will commence at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the Lunda Theater at the Black River Falls Middle School, located at 1202 Pierce St., Black River Falls, Wisconsin.
