Board of Education Meeting # 12 (Special)

April 3, 2007  

Board Members present:    Ramie Bakken, Paul Bohac, Lois Corey, Don Mathews, Barb Sedelbauer, Bill Waughtal  

Board Members absent:     Jeff Pugh  

Meeting convened at 4:30 p.m.    

Discussion was held on strategic plan.  Brad Simonson, HSR Associates, presented three (3) drawings:  

1.                 High School Addition

2.                 New High School

3.                 New Elementary School along County Highway A  

The next step for Brad will be to:  

Take drawings one (1) and three (3) with drawing three (3) divided into two (2) presentations:

1.                 Site for new elementary School
2.                 Adding on to Forrest Street School to facilitate more grades  

Brad will formulate initial cost on ideas and operation cost savings.  

Board will figure out how to get information to the public.  

Master plan is:

1.                 Getting kids out of Third Street School
2.                 Gebhardt needs looking into
3.                 High School needs space  

The next meeting on strategic planning will be held on April 23, 2007 at 4:30 p.m.
