Board of Education Meeting # 15 (Special)

April 28, 2008

Board Members present:   Ramie Bakken, Lois Corey, Don Mathews, Laurel Meek, Ron Wirtz

Board Members absent: Ken Artis

Meeting convened at 4:30 p.m. 

Notices of the meeting were delivered to the Banner Journal, WWIS Radio Station and Jackson County Chronicle and posted in three (3) public places on April 22, 2008

Ramie Bakken moved to adjourn to closed session to conduct an expulsion hearing in accordance with § 120.13(1)(c) of the Wisconsin Statutes and to review and discuss pupil records, as defined in § 118.125 of the Wisconsin Statutes.  Ron Wirtz seconded the motion.  Motion carried.  The board adjourned to closed session.

The Board reconvened in open session at 6:25 p.m.

Election of Officers was held:

President:  Don Mathews

Vice President:  Lois Corey

Clerk:  Ramie Bakken

Treasurer:  Ron Wirtz

Lois Corey will be the WASB Correspondent.

Committee assignments will be as follows:

Business Services Committee:  Ron Wirtz, Ken Artis, Vacancy

Policy Committee:  Ramie Bakken, Don Mathews, Laurel Meek, Community member Carl Herrmann & Teacher Kaye Henrickson

C & I Committee:   Lois Corey, Ramie Bakken, Laurel Meek

Ramie Bakken moved to adjourn at 6:37 p.m.  Ron Wirtz seconded the motion.

Ayes:  Ramie Bakken, Lois Corey, Don Mathews, Laurel Meek, Ron Wirtz

Nays: None
