Meeting
convened at 4:45 p.m.
Lois Corey
moved to adjourn to executive session under section 19.85 (1)(c) to
discuss matters related to the superintendent search. Bill
Waughtal seconded the motion.
Motion
carried.
The Board
reconvened in open session at 5:10 p.m.
Meeting
commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Notices of
the meeting were delivered to the Banner Journal, WWIS Radio Station and
Jackson County Chronicle and posted in three (3) public places on August
8, 2007.
Paul Bohac
moved to approve the Athletic Code and Co-Curricular Handbook revisions.
Ramie Bakken seconded the motion. Motion carried.

John Hansen
and Tatum Schroeder will be required to pay liquidated damages per the
terms of the 2005-2007 BRFEA Master Agreement in the amount of $500.00
each.
Discussion
was held on the superintendent search process.
Don Mathews
announced that Dr. Dennis Richards will serve as interim superintendent
until the position is filled.
Don Stevens
and Rick Carlson, SCF Educational Consultants, LLC, will be conducting
the search. The position will be posted with a closing date of
September 28. First interviews will be held October 29 & 30.
An advisory committee made up of community and staff members will be
selected to interview the selected candidates.
Jill Collins
presented an overview of the improvements needed at Forrest Street
Elementary School. Bids for the work were received from R.J.
Sullivan in the amount of $185,440 and from Market & Johnson for
$111,600.
Ramie Bakken
moved to accept the bid from Market & Johnson in the amount of
$111,600 to go ahead with the improvements at Forrest Street Elementary
School.

Sedelbauer seconded the motion.
Motion
carried.
Lois Corey
moved to adjourn at 6:10 p.m. Paul Bohac seconded the motion.
