Meeting # 7 (Special)

MINUTES OF MEETING # 7 (SPECIAL) OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF BLACK RIVER FALLS ON OCTOBER 30, 2007 AT 4:30 P.M. IN THE DISTRICT OFFICE BOARD ROOM.

Board Members Present: Ken Artis, Ramie Bakken, Paul Bohac, Lois Corey, Don Mathews, Barb Sedelbauer, Bill Waughtal

Board Members Absent:   

The meeting was called to order by President Don Mathews at 4:30 p.m.

Meeting commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Notices of the meeting were delivered to the Banner Journal, WWIS Radio Station and Jackson County Chronicle and posted in three (3) public places on October 24, 2007.

Paul Bohac moved to approve the 2007-08 budget revisions as presented.  Barb Sedelbauer seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Ramie Bakken moved to approve the 2007-08 tax levy of $5,561,815.  Paul Bohac seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Barb Sedelbauer moved to allow the district to collaborate with the soccer association in regard to the McNulty property.  Bill Waughtal seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Ramie Bakken moved to adjourn to closed session under section 19.85 (1)(c) to interview candidates for the superintendent’s position at 4:40 p.m. Lois Corey seconded the motion.

Nays: None

Motion carried.  The meeting was adjourned to closed session.
