Kindergarten through Fifth Grade Families,
Please don't forget that there are no regularly scheduled classes on Friday, September 7 and Monday, September 10. Students in grades K-5 have been individually scheduled for their Benchmark Reading Assessment appointment. Families in grades K-3 will also have a 15 minute Parent/Teacher Conference after their child's assessment is complete. Families in fourth and fifth grades will not be having a Parent/Teacher Conference as the class sizes are larger, and there needs to be additional time available to complete the assessments.
If you have questions about your child's scheduled time, please contact your child's teacher or the office at the appropriate elementary school. We VERY MUCH appreciate the flexibility that families have shown to us to accommodate this new process. The staff are excited to be able to use these assessment results to aide in planning instruction targeted to the specific needs of your child throughout the year!
