APE
Community Activities
Handcycle In the spring of 2006, Lisa Mathson of the La Crosse YWCA brought a handcycle for the APE students to ride. This bike is adapted to allow individuals with balance and strength needs enjoy the freedom of riding a bike in a safe environment. This is a unique bike in which the hands are used to pedal and steer. Horseback Riding
For the last 3 years, out APE students have traveled south of Swimming As part of the APE program in BRF, all students take part in many swimming lesson at the Lunda Community Pool. The objective of these trips focus on water safety, stroke introduction, stroke refinement, and water exploration. The pool offers an environment that allows all students to succeed and have fun. |
