Welcome to Gebhardt Elementary!

New to the 2006-2007 school year, Gebhardt Elementary serves all of the Black River Falls area fourth and fifth grade students!  I have been extremely pleased with the work and thoughtful efforts that have gone into making this a positive transition for all students!  The year is well underway and so far the results are excellent! 

Our grade levels are organized into smaller pods of two or three teachers that work closely together to meet the needs of the students!  We have a strong dedication to collaboration and creating interventions for students not reaching the learning targets.  Our work is extremely focused on becoming a true Professional Learning Community!  Each and every adult in the building takes ownership for the learning of all of our students.  We gather data, adjust our instruction, plan interventions and continue the cycle of continuous improvement.  The system is set up under the very basic premise that high levels of learning are possible for all students.  It becomes the adults’ responsibility to provide the right tools on the right day to the right students, to make this happen!  Without a doubt, it is a lofty challenge, but one we are committed to!
