In December of 2007 we began discussions on the possibility of sponsoring a foreign student to help them further their education.  The full Senate voted to move forward with this project and we explored several options for sponsorship.  We felt that such an effort on our part is in line with our emphasis on servant leadership.  Our sponsorship is through an organization in New York known as Tibet Aid.

Tenzin is 14 years old and is from a region known as Arunachal Pradesh.  She is attending CST Dalhousie, a boarding school in northern India.  Our sponsorship will enable her to attend the school for the next year and we hope to continue our support for her schooling in the years to come.
