25-26 OCTOBER 2005 CONSTITUTION RATIFICATION VOTE The Student Senate Constitution was endorsed by 19 of 20 Senators during the week of October 17, 2005 and sent to the student body for ratification the following week. We needed a 60% approval (by those who voted) for the Constitution to go into effect. 55% of the student body voted over two days and provided the Senate with a resounding victory for the new Constitution. FINAL TOTALS 298 yes (86%) 49 no (14%) VOTER TURNOUT 347/635 = 55%

VOTING RESULTS FROM 2004 MOCK ELECTION We
held the election over two days (October 25-26).
We utilized the newly formed Student Senate to “get out the
vote” and we promoted the voting aggressively.
Students voted before school, after school, or during their lunch
shifts. Here are our
