What is ACP?

What is ACP?

Academic and Career Planning (ACP) is a student-driven, adult-supported process where students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success. Through activities of self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills, students will obtain the confidence and knowledge to make wise decisions about their future.

Today, parents and educators all over the world are preparing youth for a world that is quite different from the one that most of us experienced as children. Our schools are giving children and adolescents a groundwork that will prepare them for a global economy, and ensure that they are ready to be successful in careers that may not even exist yet! Together, the School District of Black River Falls is partnering with our community to ensure that students from our district are equipped with the education, skills, and experiences they need to be competitive and successful in the 21st Century.

Academic and Career Planning (ACP) is the driving force by which we will be nurturing and building college and career readiness in our learners. Not only is ACP supported by the Department of Public Instruction and the State of Wisconsin, but it aligns with our school district’s mission.
