The newest edition of the Falls History Project is now live on the school website. This project celebrates the history of local girls' athletics fifty years after the passage of Title IX. Titled The Girls Stepped Forward, the project documents the growth of female sports in Black River Falls from the early days of limited gym time and borrowed uniforms to full varsity programs.

The online collection uses historical research and interviews to tell the stories of early student-athletes and the educators who supported them.

Special recognition goes to student intern Lily Sullivan for her hard work and care in organizing the project. Their efforts help preserve this local history and support future generations of students.
