Ken Deal, who spent 8 years at Red Creek Elementary, is known for his “speed cleaning” skills and joyful spirit. A favorite memory: every class singing to him on his birthday!
Originally from Salt Lake City, Ken settled in Wisconsin and earned a degree from WTC. In retirement, he’s excited to travel and spend time with family. Drop your favorite Ken memory in the comments! 👇 #tiGRRpride

After 29 years with the School District of BRF and over 40 years in the workforce, Jill Collins is retiring! She started as a bookkeeper in 1995 and has served as Director of Business Services since 2000. Along the way, she’s coached youth sports, served on community boards, and even worked as an EMT. Jill also played a key role in leading two major school referendums from concept to completion.
In retirement, Jill plans to travel—Hawaii, Alaska, and the Mediterranean are already on the list—visit local wineries, and keep her accounting and golf skills sharp. Drop a comment or share a memory below to help us celebrate Jill! #tiGRRpride 🐯

Today was the last day of school, and our Red Creek and Forrest Street teachers lined the bus loop to send students off with hugs, high-fives, and lots of well wishes. There were plenty of smiles—and even a few tears (mostly from the teachers!).
We’re wishing all our students and staff a fun, restful, and safe summer. ☀️
We can’t wait to see you again at Open House on August 21 from 2–6 PM!

🌟🐄 Alice in Dairyland, Scholze Beef, Our Nutrition Dream Team — and a Real Live Calf from Mud Hollow Farm?! Now That’s a Farm to School Finale! 🥛🍔💚
We wrapped up our Adopt a Cow adventure with a Farm to School Celebration full of learning, laughter, and local flavor — all starring our beloved calf, Galaxie Oreo Milkshake! 🐮💫 (Well, almost — a sweet stand-in calf made a guest appearance on Galaxie’s behalf!)
💚 Our incredible Nutrition Team served up a Wisconsin-proud lunch featuring:
🍔 Wagyu beef burgers & brats from Scholze Family Farms (Humbird, WI), processed at Blair Meats
🍎 Seneca Apple Chips
🥦 Fresh fruits & veggies
🍨Yogurt Parfaits — the ultimate dairy dessert!
🎉 A special thank you to Alice in Dairyland, who joined us to serve lunch and share her passion for local agriculture with our students!
🐄 And a huge shoutout to Josh and Jennifer Koebler of Mud Hollow Farm and their son Wyatt Koebler, who surprised students with a visit from a real live calf — offering kids a hands-on glimpse into the world of dairy farming and bringing our Adopt a Cow experience to life!
From meeting a real calf to learning where their food comes from, students left with full hearts and fuller bellies — and a deeper appreciation for the people and animals behind every bite. 🚜🥛
Thank you to all our partners, staff, and students who made this celebration one to remember — and of course, to our moo-velous friend Galaxie Oreo Milkshake! 💫🐄

This afternoon, students witnessed a powerful and emotional mock crash event in the Lunda Park parking lot, followed by impactful speakers in the theatre. The event was planned by Lily Olson, part of the FCCLA's high school chapter. Student actors included Katelyn Nosbisch, Cecil Lopez, Keanau Maphis, and Lily Olson. Local first responders from Black River Falls brought the scene to life with their involvement, making the experience all the more real.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this important awareness event possible.
