That's a wrap on Community Education Backyard Maple Syrup Making class, and what a sweet class it was!

Our students "tapped" large log rounds, evaporated sap, and finished syrup from scratch , all using simple, affordable equipment that can be found in their own backyards and kitchen. Three sessions. Sticky hands. Big smiles. #tiGRRpride

We are incredibly proud to announce that several of our student-athletes have earned WBCA Academic All-State honors. It takes a special kind of discipline to balance a varsity schedule with a heavy course load. To qualify for this prestigious statewide honor, these athletes had to maintain a cumulative career GPA of 3.5 or higher. That’s not just a good season; that’s years of hard work, late-night studying after away games, and a commitment to excellence beyond the box score.

Congratulations to our Academic All-State honorees:

Morgan Kundinger
Hayden Brown
Lily Sullivan
Olivia Larkin
Iris Zenz
Tylan Brown

Beyond sports, Tavaris has been an active leader and creator, participating in Student Senate, the Tiger Investment Club (TIC), Art Club, and Wąkšik Wacek. Out of all his busy high school moments, his favorite memory was the challenge and fun of running the milk mile!

We can't wait to see where your leadership and energy take you next. Congratulations, Tavaris! 🎨🤝✨

Watercolor Magic with Community Education!
What a beautiful class we had last week! Instructor Jen Dahl created a space where creativity flowed freely. There were no comparisons, no pressure, just pure artistic expression.

Here's what our students had to say:

"Mrs. Dahl knows how to inspire individuals to bring out their art and no comparison to others. That's what art should be."

"Jen's relaxed approach to watercolor was great. Her talent and that of her students is evident in the examples around the classroom."

Whether you're a beginner or rediscovering your creative side, this class proves that everyone has an artist within. 🖌️

"You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." — Dr. Seuss

Our classrooms were looking a little... whimsical last week! Our students celebrated Read Across America Week by diving headfirst (literally!) into the world of Dr. Seuss.

From the Lorax to the Sneetches, they found that "the more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go!"

WIAA SECTIONAL SEMIFINAL, Cochrane-Fountain City vs. Assumption | Thursday, March 12
Our students aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow—they are leading today. On Thursday, March 5, our Raise Your Voice members stood alongside peers from across the state to meet with legislators and share their stories. Their mission? To advocate for critical mental health support.

By speaking directly with our state representatives, these Tigers are ensuring that young people are not just seen, but heard and supported. We are proud of their courage and commitment to making Wisconsin a healthier place for everyone. Show your support for these student advocates by dropping a "🧡" in the comments!

There is never a dull moment in our FACE classes! Check out what our students have been up to lately:

Child Development Field Work
Our Child Dev students have been out in the community at Forrest Street and Red Creek! They’ve been working directly in elementary classrooms to complete observation reports, gaining first-hand experience in how young minds grow and learn. It’s a great way to bridge the gap between the textbook and the classroom!

Culinary Creations
Meanwhile, back at the high school, our Foods students have been busy "plating to perfection." Check out these final products! From mastering flavors to presentation, these Tigers are proving they have what it takes to thrive in the kitchen.

We love seeing our students develop these essential life skills while serving our community. Which dish from the Foods class would you want to try first? Let us know in the comments! 👇
