For 22 years, Steven Humphrey safely transported students as a bus driver—and also served up lunches at Red Creek and the high school. With degrees in fish and wildlife biology and biblical studies, Steven has worn many hats, including teaching martial arts for over 50 years. One meaningful memory: a kind family invited him over for Christmas when the weather kept him from traveling. Steven will miss the early mornings, the extra trips, and the daily connections with students and staff. Help us wish him well as he continues teaching martial arts at Jim’s Gym! 👊 #tiGRRpride

Beth Hansen spent 34 years teaching little learners, starting in kindergarten and then first grade at Hixton, Gebhardt, and Forrest Street. One unforgettable moment? A kitten jumped out of a student’s backpack, turning into the sweetest lesson on kindness and care. Originally from Shell Lake, Beth earned her degrees from UW–River Falls and UW–La Crosse. To help families out, we've got a weekly challenge this summer! Here's the first challenge to share with your kids: Take your book into the sunshine and enjoy the fresh air.
