The Shooting Tigers had an incredibly successful weekend matching up against a massive field of 492 shooters from 42 different teams! The squads put on a fantastic showing and proved they can run with the very best.

State-Bound Tigers
The band and choir made it to NYC late Sunday evening and have been out exploring and performing today! The group’s first official photo was taken at a Penn Station subway entrance prior to their Broadway Imagine workshop and the band’s performance on the USS Intrepid! Tomorrow the choir will be performing at St. John the Divine Cathedral. More pictures to come as the week goes on! #tiGRRpride

Huge congratulations to Aidan Krista on being named the Coulee Conference Athlete of the Year for Track and Field! The Black River Falls Middle School Student Showcase and 8th Grade Ceremony were truly wonderful celebrations of our students’ hard work, creativity, and accomplishments throughout the school year. It was incredible to see our middle school halls and gym filled with families, friends, and community members supporting and celebrating our students. The Student Showcase highlighted the many talents, projects, and achievements of our students across all grade levels, while the 8th Grade Ceremony honored the Class of 2030 as they prepare to begin their high school journey.

We are extremely proud of our 8th-grade students for their dedication, leadership, and perseverance during their middle school years. The evening was filled with memorable moments as students were recognized for academic achievement, attendance, citizenship, and excellence in various subject areas.

It was an incredible, record-setting weekend at the WIAA State Track & Field Championships! Tiger athletes went up against the best in the state in La Crosse and roared into the finish, wrapping up an unforgettable season. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication that brought them to the biggest stage of the year.

Aidan Krista: Earned a podium finish in two events, taking 5th place in the shot put (55-5.75) and 6th place in the discus (159-1)!

Mason Meimann: Placed 8th in the state finals after breaking the school record in the prelims with a blazing time of 49.47!

Olivia Larkin: Finished 9th in the state in the high jump with a fantastic 5-2.00 jump!

Let's send our State-bound Tiger track athletes off in true Black River Falls style! Friday morning—that's June 5—our incredible State track qualifiers are heading to Veterans Memorial Stadium for the state meet, and the fire department is giving them an escort out of town. We want to line the streets with orange and black to show them that the entire community is riding with them!

Here is the timeline and route so you can plan your cheering spot:
🏫 10:15 AM: Athletes and the fire department will meet at the high school.
🚒 10:30 AM: The escort officially leaves the school grounds.
📍The Route: The caravan will head down Main Street and travel up over the top of the bridge.

Whether you're waving a sign or cheering loudly from the sidewalk, let's make some serious noise and let these student-athletes know how proud we are of their hard work and dedication.

We have a couple of senior spotlights for you today!

Let’s hear it for Landon Parrott! Landon has shown his strength and determination during his high school career as a dedicated member of the wrestling team. The discipline and grit he’s displayed on the mat have been an inspiration to his teammates and fans alike. Following graduation, Landon is preparing for a journey of service as he joins the Marine Corps. We are incredibly proud of his commitment to serve our country and have no doubt that the toughness he sharpened as a wrestler will serve him well in the Marines. Congratulations, Landon!

It's Macie Goldsmith's time to shine! Macie’s been a huge part of our school spirit, spending her time leading the crowd in cheerleading and Pep Club, and representing her peers in Student Senate. When she wasn't busy on campus, she was bringing that same energy to the field for club Soccer. After graduation, Macie is headed toward an inspiring and vital career path. She plans to become an OB nurse, and we couldn't be more proud of her dedication to such a meaningful calling. Best of luck with your nursing journey, Macie!


Congratulations, Ryan Casper! Ryan’s been a big part of our athletic programs, spending his seasons on the ice for hockey and out on the course for golf. Whether he’s defending the net or hitting the links, he’s shown great commitment to his teams. After graduation, Ryan’s moving into an exciting and brave career path. "Phoebe is a rock star in math class. She participates by asking great questions and providing solutions to problems. She helps to teach her peers when they don't understand a concept. Let’s give a big round of applause to Owen Zenz! Owen has been a constant presence in our athletic programs, showcasing his endurance and skill in cross country, track, and tennis. When asked about his time in high school, Owen says his favorite memory was going to track meets with his friends. Grace has been a whirlwind of activity and school spirit, from cheering on the sidelines in cheerleading and Pep Club to her time on the ice with figure skating. She’s also stayed busy managing the hockey team and participating in FCCLA, FBLA, and Student Senate.
