📊 Game Recap: Arcadia 71, BRF 66 🏀 In BRF's first conference game of the year, we saw a game of momentum swings and a red-hot start from the Raiders! They couldn't miss from the 3-point line on their way to an early 20-point lead. The Tigers chipped away at that lead and went into halftime down by 14 points. The Tigers responded to start the second half by not only clawing their way back into the game but taking a 9-point lead with 10 minutes to go. Through physical rebounding, tough defense, and aggressive drives to the basket, momentum swung from the Raiders to the Tigers. But the Raiders got the last momentum swing of the night to win the game 71-66. Braylon Backaus led the way in scoring with 37 points. Cecil Lopez had an outstanding offensive night with 14 points. Will Sedelbauer rebounded everything he saw on his way to 4 points. Noah Larkin's aggressive drives gave him 5 points. Archer Grant, Nolan Boehm, and Zaedyn Roseth each finished with 2 points. This was the second game in a row in which the Tigers have lost a close game, but their fighting spirit and competitive energy have made the BRF coaching staff and fans proud to start the season! Watch the team tomorrow night--that's December 10-- in Viroqua. C Team and JV play at 5:45. Varsity is at 7 PM.

The middle school elves are at it again! 🎉 With the leadership of school counselor Chantal Tibbitts and the Student Council, they set a goal of collecting 500 items for the local food drive. Not only did they meet the goal, but they crushed it with 1,101 items—weighing 777 pounds! Incredible work, team! November is Homelessness Awareness Month. Each of the 72 purple flags on the courthouse lawn represents a child in the BRF School District who does not have a home of their own. When families lose housing, some go to the shelter (if available), stay at a motel, or live in a camper. Most families stay with friends or family in a spare bedroom, living room, or basement. Sometimes, families need to split up to accommodate their new living situation. If you lost your housing and live in one of these scenarios, our Homeless Liaison is here to help! homeless@brf.org #HomelessInWisconsin
